Calling all late-starting pianists! If you're at an early intermediate level (Grades 4-5 or similar), you're invited to join our 4 day course.
This supportive 4 course helps you achieve personal goals, playing repertoire of your choice - classical, light, pop, jazz, or show tunes. You'll master effective practice strategies, musical style, interpretation, and performance psychology. Plus, discover the joy of spontaneous playing through improvisation and accompaniment (yes, everyone can do it!). Enjoy solo, duet, and trio work, with optional performance opportunities in a safe, appreciative group setting.
Led by Lucinda Mackworth-Young, a renowned UK teacher for late starters, this course suits beginners, re-starters, and players up to Grades 4-5.
What to expect
Tailored to participants' interests, this practical and supportive course will cover:
– Effective practice techniques and interpretation for confident, expressive playing
– Strategies for overcoming performance anxiety
– Playing by ear and improvisation
– Optional informal performances of solos, duets and trios

Level & Requirements
Open to beginners, learners and improvers (up to Grade 5).
