Late Starter and Re-starter Piano  

Friday 10 July (early evening arrival) - Sunday 12 July (4.00pm departure) 2020

Tutor: Lucinda Mackworth-Young

With her life-long experience of working with adult learners of all ages and stages, and love of piano playing, Lucinda specialises in creating a mutually supportive atmosphere in which everyone can focus on achieving their own personal goals.

Besides working with beginner to intermediate piano repertoire of all genres and styles (classical, light, pop, jazz, show time) she will focus on teaching efficient practice strategies, and how to overcome anxiety and enjoy performing.

Each participant will also have the opportunity to play with others -as part of a piano duet or trio, and Lucinda will teach everyone how to play the piano without books - improvising and accompanying songs spontaneously (Yes! Everyone can do it!).

This course is suitable for beginners, re-starters and intermediate players.

Please bring the piano books that you are currently working on. Further books will be available to borrow or buy during the weekend. Class work, small group work and individual coaching will be included.
