The UK's leading professional development course solely for piano teachers
Directed by Lucinda Mackworth-Young
The Piano Teachers' Course EPTA UK addresses all of the essential piano teaching skills and also enhances your craft as a pianist as you learn from eminent pianists and teachers of international standing.
Aimed at stimulating and refreshing existing teachers' skills, as well as guiding and giving confidence to those new to the profession, it recognises that everyone, even the most experienced teachers, benefit from being put back in touch with the latest expertise.
The course leads to The Certificate of the Piano Teachers’ Course, EPTA UK, and entitles holders to full professional membership of The European Piano Teachers' Association (EPTA UK), the country's leading professional body for piano teachers.
The course also counts as a substitute for all of the written work required for the Teaching DipABRSM.
Course students can opt to take the ABRSM CME http://gb.abrsm.org/tr/courses-and-events/certificate-for-music-educators/
10 out of 10!
This was the best course I’ve ever been on and has changed my teaching forever.
An excellently planned and structured course with very supportive tutors.
I’m now bursting with ideas and on such a high thanks to all I learnt over the weekend!
Very enjoyable, informative, and extremely good value for money.
The course is part-time, designed to suit those with other commitments, and lasts one academic year from October through to June. It consists of three long residential weekends, three further Sundays and independent study throughout the year. It is held at The Purcell School of Music, Bushey, Herts, where course participants can enjoy the School’s fleet of Steinway and Fazioli pianos in a new, state-of-the-art music building.
